New Publication from Sussex Learning Network

Advanced Apprentices Welcome Here! is a leaflet published by Sussex Learning Network and Aimhigher Sussex and contains case studies of advanced apprentices who are studying in higher education in four sectors along with example pathways which they can take in Sussex and some practical advice to encourage them to progress to higher education.

The leaflet goes alongside the commitment by nine Sussex higher education providers to the Apprentices Admissions Pledge which extends a welcome to apprentices to apply for undergraduate courses and commits the providers to mention this more explicitly in their marketing as well as engage with SSCs in exploring opportunities to create higher apprenticeships. This initiative originated in LLNs in the West Midlands to whom SLN is indebted for allowing it to share the idea. SLN would encourage other LLNs to explore the idea with their member institutions.
