Purpose: Foundation degrees involve work-based and related learning in a variety of forms, including work placements, experience, and guest speakers from industry. The integration of these aspects is fundamental to achieving the objectives of the Foundation degree and therefore it is very important for course teams to work with industry representatives to create new ways in which this can happen. The purpose of this project is to evaluate, from both the perspective of the students and the lecturer, the effects of delivery of a Foundation degree module within a college, taught entirely by a representative from the relevant industry.
