FUTURE MEETINGS

It was decided at the September meeting that there will be 3 meetings per year. Details about the next meeting will be added soon.

SUMMARY OF TOPICS RAISED AND PROPOSALS FOR FURTHER WORK

As it was the first meeting, each representative outlined the projects that they are currently involved with in their area. Two presentations were delivered:

1. ConstructionSkills Standards & Qualifications Strategy (Draft Report)

Kath Galloway ran through the ConstructionSkills Standards & Qualifications draft report which was contained within the delegate pack. Kath highlighted the rationale behind the report.

2. Pathfinder Project for the 14-19 Diploma – Brian Cairns (MOVE)

Brian Cairns ran through the MOVE presentation. Particular points highlighted included milestones for the MOVE project; current work with partners; issues relating to recruitment into higher education from 14-19 diplomas; the impact on curriculum for higher education providers; and a summary of outcomes from discussions with UCAS and other activity.
